At the end of the course, the student will be able to recognize, describe and classify the most frequent neurosurgical pathology in pediatric age

The teaching aims are:
providing students with a general understanding of the pathology of neurosurgical competence that they will most frequently encounter in their professional activity
Teaching methods
The course includes 10 hours of lectures with slide view
SYLLABUS/CONTENT
Definition, classification, clinical picture and rudiments of surgical treatment of:
- Hydrocephalus and more frequent congenital anomalies of the cerebrospinal fluid circulation
- Intracranial hypertension
- craniostenosis
- Malformations of the skull-cervical hinge
- Defects of closing of spinal cord (spina bifida)
- Encephalic tumors and main related syndromes
