CONTEMPORARY ITALIAN LITERATURE
OVERVIEW
The course will deepen the study of modern Italian literature (poetry, prose fiction, non-fiction) and in relation to the texts and the critical methodology, and in relation to a meditated historiographical framework, suggesting a widening of the critical perspective that takes into account the parallel experiences and experiments in the areas of music and visual arts.
AIMS AND CONTENT
LEARNING OUTCOMES
The issues related to contemporary Italian literature will be dealt with, with particular regard to the school dimension and to the figure of the teachers represented by various writers. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: Students will be able to acquire adequate competence and an effective ability to understand texts. JUDGMENT SKILLS: Students will be able to use both the acquired and self-assessment skills both on a conceptual and on an operational level. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Students will be able to acquire the technical language typical of the discipline.

The course's main objective is to acquire a good knowledge of the history and texts of contemporary Italian literature.

Frontal lessons. As per available students are required to attend at least the percentage of lessons provided for in Regulation of the course of study
SYLLABUS/CONTENT
1. Introduction to contemporary Italian literature: methodology and history.
2. Fairy tale and poetry: Giovanni Pascoli and Guido Gozzano
The course is a laboratory integrated (1 CFU); you can take the exam only after acquiring the laboratory credit.

Oral.
Assessment methods
For the first part of the program the student will have to demonstrate a good knowledge of Italian literature of the last century, for the second the ability to move appropriately between the texts discussed in class.
Non-attending students will have to agree with the teacher the program and the methods of study that ensure the acquisition of skills required for the course before classes.
