Exam description

The theoretical module exam will test the competences that students will have acquired in the field of plurisemiotic translation. The paper which they will have to submit at the end of the course will consist in a commented translation of a few pages, while the interview will evaluate the students’ ability to reflect on their own translation practice.

The practical exercises will consist in specialized translation (technical and scientific translation, law translation, economics translation, text revision) and interpreting (sight translation, consecutive interpreting and simultaneous interpreting).

Due to possible anti-Covid restrictions, exams may be entirely or partially online.

The portfolio to be presented at the end of the course will consist in the comment of a translated sequence, while the oral discussion will aim at assessing the students’ capacity to reflect on their translation practices.

Practical exercises: specialized translation (technical, scientific and text revision, or law and economics translation) and interpreting (sight translation, consecutive, simultaneous).
