OVERVIEW

In the first part, the course aims to provide the basic elements of cultural anthropology, in order to provide relativistic interpretations of the different human societies. In the second part, some aspects related to artistic processes will be studied in depth, read from an anthropological perspective. Different concepts of "art" and "cultural heritage" and examples of "translation" of objects and events produced in different companies will be examined, in the context of exhibitions and museums.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The course intends in the first part to provide some basic elements of anthropology also useful for the acquisition of 24 credits for the TIF. In the second part we will focus on the reading that the discipline gives the concept of cultural heritage in Western culture and on the visions that other companies may have of their heritage, analyzing different forms of expression in a comparative key.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

It is hoped that at the end of the course students will be able to face issues related to art with a new and comparative perspective.

In anticipation of the beginning of the online academic year, the lessons will take place via the web. The audio of each lesson will be uploaded in mp3 on aulaweb, therefore all participants in the course are invited to register. "Presence" meetings are also planned through Teams in the Anthropology of Cultural Heritage team

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

Readings will be provided, useful for understanding the different conceptions of art and the processes that lead to the creation of an artistic object in different cultures.
