Informing the student of the characteristics, prospects and norms of the course program, in order to be able to organise their activities. Giving the student beginning the studies basic knowledge elements to build their awareness about the problems they will face as a doctor. Build an open attitude towards the skills they will learn during their studies.

To complement medical training with an intercultural and interdisciplinary framework focusing on the evolution of the medical sciences and on the great ethical themes of contemporary times.
The complexity of the human being is a major player when illness, treatment and care are provided.
Promoting awareness about the relevance of “Medical Humanities” in the learning process of the upcoming doctor.
Teaching methods
The module includes seminar sessions organized by different teachers, complemented with small group activities in the classroom, film views and text readings.
The lessons will be carried out remotely using the Office365-Teams platform in synchronous or asynchronous mode.

SYLLABUS/CONTENT
Lectures will be integrated with seminars held by experts with experience in transcultural studies and humanities. In particular, food for thought will be offered on the epistemology of medicine, the history of medical science, the anthropology of health and the ethics of care.
