AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The aims of the course are:

  • Providing the students basic notions about the acquisition systems
  • Introducing the advantages of the use of ICT in orthopedics
  • Providing the students a general overview of the functioning of the CAD-CAM systems
  • Providing the students the capacity to use free CAD systems
  • Providing the students the ability to choose the most suitable CAD-CAM systems

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

Outcomes of the course are:

  • Knowing the advantages of the CAD-CAM systems in orthopedics
  • Classifying the digital scanner typologies
  • Comparing the different categories of CAD systems
  • Critically evaluating the devices for model acquisition
  • Analitically describing the parts of a CAD-CAM system

  • From drafting machine to CAD
  • 2D and 3D CAD
  • CAD classification and models
  • Reverse Engineering, digital scanner
