AIMS AND CONTENT
LEARNING OUTCOMES
Knowledge of the methods for assessig body composition and related clinical limitations
carry out a reliable alimentary interview in the obese patient
set a adequate therapeutic relationship with the obese patient
AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES
for prescibing a therapeutic dietary regimen to the obese patients, clinical and laboratory data have to be available. Furthermore, data on the individual physical structute and on the alimentari habits and bahavior have to be well known.
Students have to be aware on the diferent method for assessing the body composition and body sectors size, and understand the limits and the different application fields. They will be able to collects an accurate alimentary interview and to record the alimentary habits and behavior with related disorders
They will be able to propose to the obese patients adequate behavior modifications with the aim of obtaining a weight reduction and a disappearance of metabolic and structural complications. With this aim, they will be able to set a good therapeutic relationship.
