EXAMS

Exam description

The technical and scientific translation module will be assessed at the end of the course by carrying out a remote translation assignment. The same for the translation revision and proofreading assignment at the end of the module which will also be carried out remotely. The interpreting module will be assessed at the end of the course and is composed of two parts: consecutive interpreting es-it (approximately 3 minutes) and a sight translation it-es

The theoretical module will be assessed by asking students to write a paper in Spanish (approximately 1300 words) which will go deeper into a specific topic among the ones dealt with during the course.

Assessment methods

The following will be assessed: adequacy, functionality, accuracy, and reliability. Both contents and the general approach (i.e. paralinguistic and non verbal communication in the case of interpreting) will be assessed.

For the Theoretical Module, the following parameters will be taken into account: adequacy and accuracy of the Spanish language used and the competence and skill to critically review the bibliography read and studied.
