OVERVIEW

The course aims to address the estimation problems inherent the construction and urban transformation processes, from the programming to the design and execution phase.

The training course has as reference the project as the result of an activity whose "as the fundamental goal the realization of a quality intervention, in accordance with the best value for global benefits and construction, maintenance and management costs" (italian Law Decree n. 207/2010).

AIMS AND CONTENT

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

Provide students with the theoretical and operational tools for facing and solving estimation problems regarding interventions at the building and urban scale.

Teaching methods

The course is developed in three levels:

lectures;
thematic analysis by consulting documents and others materials available on-line (aul@web site of course);
a practical activities by mans the development of an evaluation exercise to be carried out individually or in work group.

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

The course is divided in two parts:

First part:

- evaluation and assessment meaning, construction costs, synthetic and analytical methods for estimating the costs of a project;

Second part:

- real estate value, direct and indirect evaluation methods of real estate values, the International Evaluation Standards.

The student will develop, individually or in group, an exercise on the evaluation methods treated within the course.

The exercise is compulsory to stand the exam.

The exam is in written form.

Assessment methods

The theoretical and operational learning assessment is carried out:

- through the carrying out of estimating applications in the classroom;
- through the evaluation of the exercise (mandatory);
- through the oral exam that addresses all the topics (both theoretical and operational).
