OVERVIEW

The module concerns laws, regulations and technical standards putting in evidence problems relevant to:

  • Safety, Security, RAMS, Risk Evaluation and Risk Analysis,
  • management and certification
  • cost benefit analysis

in transport systems.

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The module aims at providing the basic concepts of safety legislations and certification in transport and logistics systems in order to provide to safety engineers the necessary instruments to design and manage safe systems in accordance with actual legal ramework. In particular, the module concerns European directives, regulations and technical standards related to safety, security, risk analysis and certification in the main transport sectors. Moreover, the course highlights the new relevant legal issues related to the introduction of new ICT and automation technologies.
