SYLLABUS/CONTENT

1.    classification of biological tissue
2.    mechanical properties of soft tissue: hyperelasticity, visco-elasticity, poroelasticity
3.    mechanical properties of bone tissue: tensile and compressive strength, fracture resistance
4.    mechanical behavior and modeling of different types of tissue: cells, muscle, tendon, ligament and cartilage, liver parenchima, bone
5.    experimental methods
